Hyouka: Suprisingly Very Mature And Deep

So my next review is Hyouka.

Summary:
At the request of his older sister, student Hōtarō Oreki joins Kamiyama High School's Classic Literature Club to stop it from being abolished, joined by fellow members Eru Chitanda, Satoshi Fukube and Mayaka Ibara. The story is set in Kamiyama City, a fictional city in Gifu Prefecture that the author based on his real hometown of Takayama, also in Gifu. The fictional Kamiyama High School is based upon the real life Hida High School.

First thought:
Okay, this series okay... oh oh OH SHIT THIS IS AWESOME!! It's start of slow, real slow. But it's really good, all good. Especially the characters and their interaction. And AND even this series is like you know K-On or any Kyoto Animation series, it's suprisingly really mature and deep. It's a series about youth, about growing up. Very realistic. I like it a lot.

So here's my assessment:

Story 8/10
The story well... It's slice of life anyway, so the story is... You know, normal stuff. School, classic club, yada yada yada. Homever this series is actually in mystery genre, well that suprising... Yeah, there's some mystery solving, but the mystery isn't really a mystery. Solving why your teacher love airplane, or is one of the character really do see ghost, or searching an ending for unfinished movie, you know silly stuff like that. But I like that. I actually like that Hyouka is a mystery, without a any murders. Mystery series like Detective Conan is fun and all but it's unrealistic (seriously how many people died? Is that even possible). Hyouka is more realistic mystery series. With a realistic detective, who is smart but not that genius. He's just a normal guy.

Characters 10/10
Perfect 10 for the characters! It really is perfect! The characters is realistic, unique, and fun! An the interaction between them is superb. Okay first of, I can't really chose who is the best characters. But the way one of the character, Satoshi Fukube developing is priceless. It's really memorable and heartbreaking? I mean man! The one who smile and seem joyful all the time do really have deep and complex problem! Therefore maybe he is my favorite. MAYBE. But in Hyouka, all of the characters are awesome. Houtaro Oreki the main protagonist and his conserving enegy life, Chitanda Eru the girl I thought will be annoying turn out to be really loveable and well developed too, and Mayaka Ibara also the girl I thought to be annoying but turn out really complex and compelling. So yeah, Hyouka characters is the best part of it. Go watch it now! Oh and the romance between Mayaka and Satoshi, and Oreki and Chitanda is really good!! Sucker for more romance!

Beautifull, well it's Kyoto Animation anyway.

Sound 8/10
Nothing too special, but it's good.

Overall Hyouka is a nearly perfect anime series, with deep, complex, and loveable characters, nice story, and really beautiful animation. It's really close to perfection.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Such A Badass Anime!

For those who didn't know... Yu Yu Hakusho is made by the same (amazing genius mindfuck) mangaka who made Hunter X Hunter (my favorite!), Yoshihiro Togashi.

So is YYH any good? Isn't jut another generic battle shonen? The answer is no, with capslock. NO. YYH is generic yes, but it's suprisingly good. I think because even if YYH has the same formula as any other generic battle shonen (Naruto, One Piece, Fairy Tail, DBZ), YYH executed it weirdly good. It has many tournament, but the feel in it is different. Plus there's a grim and dangerous feel in it. I like it. A lot.

First of the summary:
One day, 14-year-old Yusuke Urameshi suddenly finds himself dead, having died pushing a child out of the way of oncoming traffic. Since he has such a bad personality, even the Spirit World was caught by surprise that he would sacrifice himself. Yusuke soon finds out he wasn't supposed to die and has a chance for resurrection and bringing his body back to life. After being resurrected, Yusuke becomes a Spirit Detective, along with his comrades, and one adventure after another happens, whether it be an investigation or a fighting tournament. 

So here's my assessment:
Story 6/10
Why? The plot is nothing special. Really. Just bunch of fight and tournament. No real plot twist. The story is really simple and straight forward. Even though, the plot in Chapter Black is quite good. Let just say that Chapter Black is the sample of Hunter X Hunter awesome story, but it's just sample, it isn't as good as Hunter x Hunter. So the conclusion, if you watch YYH because you expect I don't know awesome mindfuck story, then you'll be dissapointed.

Characters 9.5/10
Everything wrong with this series is payed by amazing cast. Really AMAZING CHARACTERS. I think Togashi-sensei is really good with this aspect. He's genius.There's zero annoying characters! Well, sometimes there is, but just a little bit annoying. That's why I rated it 9.5 hahah. But anyway, the characters is badass awesome nothing like one dimenssional. Everything about YYH characters is fuckin awesome. Especially Urameshi Yusuke. He can beat the crap out of you if you dissagree with this.

Animation 7/10
Well it's made in 1992, I even haven't born yet. So the animation is well bad, but at that time I think it's pretty good. The animation is fluid and all. Sometimes there's reuse animation and that's a bit annoying, but I can tolerate that with awesomely character YYH has.

Sound 8/10
Pretty good sound though. many of them really memorable and pretty emotional. Yes very emotional I must say. Fuah... *wipe tears*

Emotional Aspect 10/10
This is the first anime that makes me really really emotional. Like really.... I cried, laughed, and I do really care about the characters. My favorite part is the climax of Dark Tournament, when Yusuke and Toguro fight, the fight is weirdly emotional. It's not just action, there's more in it. Hell, it's more like a drama than a fight. WHICH I LOVE!! I hate unreasonable fight and deus ex machina, yeah it's cool and whatever. But it's just cool not great and awesome like YYH. Oh by the way, I think this is the part where YYH exceed HxH. The story in HxH is better, but the emotional part is better in YYH. Well, nothing is perfect anyway...

Overal Yu Yu Hakusho is a great anime, whoever loves shonen, battle shonen, or as simple as series with good and well developed characters then you'll enjoy this! (Especially you who loves Hunter X Hunter)

Princess Mononoke

so I watch this movie yesterday, it's titled "Princess Mononoke" or "Mononoke-hime". yes it's japanesse animation. well if some of you have negative opinion about japanesse animation, believe me, this movie... is far from dissapointing. and it's refreshing so see something different from the *usual* hollywood cartoon.

the synopsis:
On a journey to find the cure for a Tatarigami's curse, Ashitaka finds himself in the middle of a war between the forest gods and Tatara, a mining colony. In this quest he also meets San, the Mononoke Hime.

the review:
THIS MOVIE IS FREAKIN AWESOME!! I mean the fantastic imagination, the story, the character, the animation, the message, all of them are on point! what I like most is Ashitaka, the hero in the movie character. dude, he is... awesome, a melancholic type of hero. oh and I like the way this movie don't at someone side, we see both side, and both are... right. both the human and the animal god have their own reasonable reason to attack one another. and the ending are so... beautifull yet sad.

so the conclusion? watch it and I guarantee you'll enjoy it. by the way, I think I become one of Ghibli Studio fans, the film studio who makes this movie and Spirited Away, which I already watch. their movies are good!

a short review of a movie by Danny Boyle, "127 Hours"

127 Hours is the true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston's remarkable adventure to save himself after a fallen boulder crashes on his arm and traps him in an isolated canyon in Utah. Over the next five days Ralston examines his life and survives the elements to finally discover he has the courage and the wherewithal to extricate himself by any means necessary, scale a 65 foot wall and hike over eight miles before he can be rescued. Throughout his journey, Ralston recalls friends, lovers, family, and the two hikers he met before his accident.

and what I like about this movie is, first the scoring was totaly awesome and on point. and the second, I think this is a movie about how joyfull life are.

you may think my thoght are strange, but hear this. Aron Ralston  has the courage to cut his arm of because what? life. he want to survive, he want to live so badly. he want to live his life again.

this movie is a movie about how joyous life are, because Aron Ralston want to live again, and not to die in the canyon. because he has the courage to cut his arm if it needed, to live, to survive. because life is more than death in anyway.

hi, long time no see huh? well I've been so bussy in past... almost one year (?). wow, that's a very long time.

enough with the chit-chat, I want to write about the legendary driver, Ayrton Senna. yeah I think he's a true legend. He's 3 times F1 world champion, and be consider as one of the greatest driver. after I watched a documentary movie "Senna"  I've been captivated by him. I mean, he is a legend. he is inspiring. and how he love to race, it's almost like calling me.

He died in a crash at Tamburello corner while leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, at age of 34. He died while doing the thing he love the most, racing.

Bercerita tentang Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) anak 12 tahun yang tinggal di Detroit USA pindah ke China karena ibunya, Sherry (Taraji Henson) dipindahkan ke China. Saat tinggal di China, Dre merindukan rumah dan ingin kembali ke US. Tapi ibunya bersikeras bahwa rumahnya adalah China sekarang. Dre mulai menyukai China saat bertemu dengan teman sekelasnya Mei Ying (Wenwen Han). Tapi perasaan Dre pada Mei Ying diketahui Cheng (Zhenwei Wang), pem-bully di kelasnya yang tidak menyukai hal tersebut. Cheng lalu membully Dre dengan Kung Fu nya, sedangkan Dre yang tidak bisa Kung Fu. lalu Dre bertemu Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), seorang maintenance man yang ternyata Master Kung Fu. Dre lalu meminta Mr.Han untuk mengajarinya Kung Fu agar dapat bersaing dengan Cheng di Turnamen Kung Fu.





















so? pendapat gw tentang film ini? ada minus plusnya pastilah. plus film ini, menurut gw akting Jaden Smith super bagus. bener2 kaya hidup di karakternya. Jackie Chan dll juga bagus aktingnya. mantap lah. aktingnya bener2 pas, bisa bikin ceritanya lebih real. ceritanya juga ga bosen. seru dan gampang banget dinikmati (makanya gw agak heran kenapa rated nya R bukan SU). film ini juga ngajarin beberapa moral yang bagus. oh ya adegan Dre ama Mr.Han ke pedalaman buat belajar chi juga keren banget. menurut gw sih film ini film Kung Fu modern yang digarap cukup baik.
















minusnya... yaaah adalah pasti. menurut gw yang sangat disayangkan, adanya plot holes ato ketidak sempurnaan cerita secara detail. serius deh gw ngerasa agak ganjal nontonnya. dan satu lagi kekurangannya klise, oh yeah klise. gw ga terlalu suka film klise. gampang ketebak abis (makanya lebih pas di rated SU dr pada R menurut gw). menurut gw film ini ceritanya agak dibuat terburu-buru dan jadinya malah ga sempurna. seandainya ceritanya lebih sempurna gw yakin pasti bagus banget jadinya film ini. eh ya satu lagi, filmnya agak... lebay. kaya film2 kung fu China yg lebay gitu lho. tp ga selebay itu jg sih.






























overal. film yang layak ditonton buat keluarga anda (berasa iklan). meski banyak minus tp plus nya juga banyak. bukan film yang sempurna, tapi cukup baik buat ditonton. :)

Tears thing

yeah. gw orang yang jarang nangis. oke mungkin sering. tapi jarang gara-gara masalah hati (eaaaa). makanya tiap kali gw bilang "gw juga nangis pas itu". kebanyakan temen SMP gw jawab, "demi apa dre lo nangis?!". oke gw tau gw gahar. tapi apakah segahar itu -_____-.

kalo teman SD gw. kebanyakan udah pernah liat gw nangis (iyalah sekolah bareng selama 6 taon). jadi pas gw nangis pada ngga kaya temen SMP gw. dan untunglah tadi gw nonton Hachiko bareng temen SD gw. bukan SMP. jadi gw ga ketauan nangis kaya apa deh :p. (tapi paling juga mereka bakal liat gw nangis juga akhirnya)


oh ya soal film Hachiko. itu sumpah filmnya sedih banget. gatau gw doang yang lebay apa apa. yaaah filmnya?? emmh biasa aja sih. ceritanya juga gitu aja. ga terlalu spesial. dan yang bikin bagus cuma gara-gara atmosfer harunya sih. masih ga ngerti kenapa gw nangis pas nonton? 1. karena emang mengharukan 2. gw jadi inget anjing gw yang udah mati,Capi.... dan emang Hachi mirip ama Capi. Capi juga nungguin keluarga gw pulang di depan gerbang. terus kata bokap nyokap gw pas gw ama kakak gw belom lahir,Capi suka caper gitu tiap kali bokap nyokap pulang kerja. lari lompat-lompat ngajak main. huaaa jadi kangen :'(


pas gw tulis di twitter, gw nangis nonton Hachiko. Dini langsung ga percaya. dia ampe nanya berkali-kali gitu. ckck. terus juga pas gw bilang gw juga sempet mau nangis pas nonton My Sister Keeper, si Adel bilang,"demi apa adre nangis?!" dan gw juga tau kenapa temen SMP gw ga percaya gw nangis.

waktu gw pesantren alam di Cigombong. di malem terakhir,ada acara nangis-nangis gitu. dan ya tebak apa. gw ga nangis. dan gw yang dengan begonya ngira pas orang mulai srot srot sroot *bunyi ingus* gw kira pada pilek gara-gara dingin. tiba-tiba pada nangis histeris, dan gw baru nyadar lagi acara nangis-nangis. emang sepanjang acara itu gw tidur-tidur ayam jadi gw ga dengerin. so gw dengerin,takut dibilang gatau malu gara-gara ga nangis -_____-. dan tidak berhasil. gw tetep bergeming. yaah yang diomongin itu tentang kematian orang tua. gw ga nangis gara-gara, gw rasa gw cukup berbakti jadi anak. gw ga bermasalah ama orang tua gw. dan malah gw deket. jadiii.... yaaaa.... gw ga nangis.... disaat orang-orang pada histeris nangis.

kalo ama temen SD gw. gw sempet nangis pas perpisahan. iyalah halo. gw ama temen-temen gw udah ketemu mulu selama 6 taon. jadi mereka biasa aja liat gw nangis.

dan gw juga sempet nangis gara-gara novel The Kite Runner. ga selebay nangis nonton Hachiko sih. soalnya pas gw mulai nangis,gw ambil tisue dulu,tarik napas,mangap-mangap,baru terusin baca. kalo film kan ga bisa begitu. iya thoo??

jadi gw nangis mulu selama 2 hari ini. padahal kapan ya terakhir gw nangis. mungkin pas kuku patah gw kejeduk (itu masalah beda dre). gw ampe lupa kapan terakhir kali gw nangis.

gw emang jarang nangis gara-gara masalah gw sendiri. tepatnya gw jarang ngasihanin diri gw sendiri. kecuali emang BENER-BENER udah ga tahan. gw justru lebih sering nangis gara-gara mata kecolok,sakit,buku,film,ama gara-gara ngecewain orang tua dan kakak gw (itu juga jarang dimarahin). gw jarang nangis gara-gara masalah gw sendiri,kaya ampe "kenapa sih ya allah hidup saya berat banget". hidup gw sekarang dibawa enjoy mulu sih. jadi biasanya pikiran kaya gitu jarang keluar. merasa aneh ya? gw juga bingung.

I'm a bookworm now

yeaap. gw lagu demen baca buku. gw berhasil baca The Hobbit!! iya The Hobbit! kenapa gw bangga banget? karena gw udah nyoba baca ni novel dari kecil (novelnya udah ada lama dirumah punya bokap). dan biasanya cuma berhasil seperempat -___-. bangga sekali rasanya! pengen gw review novelnya tapi yaah kebanyakan udah pada tau ceritanya (sotoy).

oke karena banyak yang nanya ceritanya apa (sotoy again). gw ceritakan. pasti banyak yang tau cerita Lord Of The Rings kan? iya film yang super seru itu.yang jadi Frodo nya ganteng. ini adalah prekuelnya ceritanya tentang om Frodo Baggings, Bilbo Baggins yang nemuin cincin ajaib di gua gollum. ceritnya sih tentang dia pergi nyari Smaug,naga kuat yang ngerampas harta. iya dia mau ngambil hartanya Smaug.dan tralala trilili. gw ga punya gambar covernya dan gw males nyari.

gw juga lagi baca To Kill A Mocking Bird. seru abis.abis ini gw juga mau baca The Kite Runner. kayanya seru juga deh. menghabiskan liburan dengan membaca asik juga kayanya.



suka baca buku bukan berarti lupa main ya. gw lebih suka main daripada baca. :p

A Great Guilty Pleasure!

and i gonna review what i watch yesterday. yes it's FAME

















The story is about a school named Perfroming Arts or P.A yang setingkat ama SMA,jadi bisa dibilang ini SMK (lho?). Dengan tokoh-tokohnya yang mencari Fame (ketenaran) dan perjuanan mereka mulai dari audisi sampe graduation.


ceritanya superb oke sip! bikin gw ngiler ama sekolahnya. perjuangan masing-masing tokoh juga seru. ada yang nari,nyanyi,main musik,ama akting. disini yang buat gw suka adalah filmnya 'jujur'. film ini nyeritain kalo mau jadi seorang seniman yang bagus ga gampang, yang diperluin bukan cuma bakat,tapi juga kerja keras. didalam cerita juga diselipin sedikit cinta-cintaan yang lumayan lah.


TAPI ada tapinya nih, sayangnya film ini sedikit terlalu banyak tokoh yang ga perlu. kaya Rossie yang ga jelas itu siapa. kalo tokohnya disedikitin ceritanya mungkin lebih berkembang karena tokohnya yang banyak bikin bingung penonton. tokohnya kurang difokusin. itu aja sih.



dan secara keseluruhan. film ini BAGUS! dan ceritanya juga agak serius ga kaya film-film remaja biasa. dari segi pengambilan kamera aja udah ketauan itu film serius. dan kalo buat orang yang suka cerita ringan tralala mungkin bakalan bosen.


banyak banget pelajaran dari film ini. kaya kalo ga mau kerja keras bakat segimana gede juga percuma. oh ya gw suka banget scene pas lagi di kantin terus anak-anak P.A pada ngerusuh main musik,nari,dan tralala.itu kerasa banget perbedaan sekolah umum ama P.A. terus juga bagian (agak spoiler) Alice lagi nari tapi diselingin ama pembicaraan Kevin ama gurunya tentang setelah lulus. terus pas bagian pertunjukan graduation nya,itu bikin ngiler banget! oh ya ama pas awal-awal juga seru,pas audition nya!

1.500 Days Of Summertuh posternya aja udah cute bgt.ini film 4 thumbs up deh!bagus banget!
Ceritanya tentang Tom Hansen (Joseph Gordon Levitt) dan Summer Finn (Zooey Deschanel).Tom itu orang yang percaya baru bisa bahagia kalo nemu cinta sejatinya,sedangkan Summer orang yang ga percaya adanya cinta sejati.ini cerita tentang 500 hari Tom bersama Summer.dan ini film yang sangat-sangat ga klise.sayangnya ga ada pemain cowo ganteng disini,jujur yang maen jadi Tom jelek (tapi dia sweet banget).tapi tetep okelah!bagus banget!lebih bagus daripada film Twilight

2.My Sister Keeper The Movie

film ini adaptasi dari novel My Sister Keeper by Jodi Picoult.filmnya bagus,tapi gw ga suka endingnya.gw kecewa berat.tapi buat yang ga baca novelnya sih pasti oke aja...
Ceritanya bla bla bla bla bla... gw males nyeritain nya.nonton aja deh.pokoknya kompleks dah ceritanya

iya gw tau telat baru nonton.tapi ya okelah!bagus!tapi bagusan Step Up 2 menurut gw.tapi yang nari pasti ngiler deh liat Channing Tatum nari.ahik ahik
Ceritanya tentang Tyler yang jago nari tapi berandalan suka bikin masalah.dia berantakin dan masuk sekolah Maryland School of Art tanpa izin.dia kena denda harus kerja tanpa bayar di MSA.Tyler ketemu Nora penari andalan MSA.dan dia nari gantiin penari pasangan Nora yang lagi sakit kaki sementara

4.Phobia 2
yap gw nonton film horor Thailand!yaah lumayan lah... gw suka juga
Ceritanya ada 5 bagian.masing-masing ada cerita horornya

5.Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs
lucuu banget!lebay dan lucu!gw suka ama tokoh-tokoh disini.unik-unik banget!
Ceritanya tentang Flint Lockwood penemu yang gila pingin nemuin pembuat makanan.karena orang-orang di tempat tinggalnya Shadow Falls cuma punya makanan ikan sarden
